Schrader On Top in B-Mod Bash at Tri-City Speedway

Veteran racer Ken Schrader capped off a busy doubleheader weekend by collecting his 12th feature victory of the season, splitting time between Missouri and Illinois.

The action kicked off Friday at Missouri’s Poplar Bluff Motorsports Park, where Schrader secured a spot in the $4,514-to-win Chad McCoy Memorial with a second-place finish in his heat race. He rolled off eighth in the fifth annual event, but his night ended early on lap 19.

Schrader bounced back on Saturday at Illinois’ Tri-City Speedway for the finale of the B-Mod Bash. After another runner-up finish in his heat, he earned a front-row starting spot and dominated the $3,000-to-win A-Main, leading every lap on his way to victory. Schrader crossed the finish line 0.380 seconds ahead of Rick Conoyer, with Jon Sheets completing the podium in third.
