Ken Schrader Triumphs in Canada
Ken Schrader turned a potential setback into success on Saturday night, piloting a borrowed Greg Belyea entry to his ninth win of the season at Canada’s Buxton Speedway.
Schrader’s northern swing opened Friday at Ohsweken Speedway for the Christmas in August event, which brought UMP Modifieds head-to-head with Canadian Modifieds. His night ended prematurely with a lap-10 exit in the 20-lap feature, while track owner Glenn Styres guided a Schrader Racing entry to a runner-up finish.
The following night at Buxton Speedway—formerly Southern Ontario Motor Speedway—Schrader opened with a heat race victory, only for his crew to discover an engine issue post-race. When competitor Greg Belyea offered up his No. 25 ride for the feature, Schrader seized the opportunity, driving it to his ninth victory of the 2025 campaign.
