Schrader Adds Fifth Win of the Season at I-55

Ken Schrader was back in action over the Fourth of July weekend, kicking things off Thursday evening at Illinois’ Lincoln Speedway for a holiday special event.

The Fenton, Missouri native got off to a strong start, advancing from sixth to third in his heat race. He carried that momentum into the 15-lap feature, where he recorded a solid fourth-place finish.

Schrader returned to familiar territory on Saturday at Federated Auto Parts Raceway at I-55. After timing in second-fastest in his 20-car qualifying group, he grabbed a heat race win to secure a spot in the redraw. Landing the pole for the A-Main, Schrader led all 20 laps to notch his fifth victory of the season.

He crossed the finish line 1.648 seconds ahead of runner-up Treb Jacoby, with Matthew Edler completing the podium in third.
