Ken Schrader Competes in DIRTcar Nationals

On Friday night Ken Schrader kicked off his venture at the DIRTcar Nationals at Volusia Speedway Park (Barberville, Fla.). Sixty-eight entries took to the 1/2-mile oval, and Ken struggled in qualifying with only the 13th-best time in his group.

He finished fifth in his his heat race before sliding back to a 14th-place finish in his B-Main, which brought his night to an early end.

Ken was back to action on Monday evening. With 106 entries in the pits Ken finished 12th in his feature.

He then continued action on Tuesday evening with an 11th-place finish after starting 13th in his respective feature.

Wednesday night found Schrader laying down his best finish of the week so far with a 10th-to-eighth run in his 20-lap feature.

On Thursday night, luck was not on Ken's side as he was an early retiree from the feature to a 17th-place finish after starting seventh.

The week drew to a close on Saturday, Feb. 8. Needing to finish in the top-2 positions to lock into the Gator Championship feature, Ken fell short of the mark with a 10th-place finish as his week drew to a close.
