Schrader Wins Twice in Ontario
Ken Schrader traveled north to Canada over the weekend for a pair of events.
Action opened on Friday night at Ohsweken (ON.) Speedway, where 22 entries took part in the event. Ken won his heat to earn the eighth starting spot for the feature.
In the 25-lap feature Schrader wasted little time working his way forward. He stormed to the lead on the fourth circuit and never looked back on his way to the victory, which came over Tim Richardson, Glenn Styres, Steve Rex, and Mario Toniolo.
On Saturday evening the team rolled into a chilly Southern Ontario Speedway (Merlin, ON.). On a heavy and fast surface, Ken advanced from sixth-to-second in his heat race.
Main event action found him running second throughout the race before a last-lap caution allowed him to race to the lead and the win.
Schrader now has four wins this season.
He wrapped up his tour north of the border on Monday at Merritville Speedway (Thorold, ON). After starting-and-finishing second in his heat race Ken started second on the feature grid. Unfortunately he slid back to a fifth-place finish behind Mat Williamson, Ryan Susice, Gary Lindberg, and Dalton Slack.
