Ken Schrader Banks 1989 Back in Time Win
Ken Schrader recorded his first win of the season over the weekend in the 1989 Back in Time event at Springfield (Mo.) Raceway.
Twenty POWRi B-Mods entered the event. With double heats on tap on Friday night Ken advanced from fourth to third and won his other heat from second to lock into the sixth-starting spot for Saturday's finale.
Passing three cars on the first lap, Schrader then vaulted into the top spot on lap 4 and wired the rest of the feature to take the victory by over two seconds with Waylon Dimmitt, Cole Campbell, Anython Ferrara, and Matt Brookshire completing the Top-5 finishers.
The victory was worth $2,036.
