I was shocked to notice that the 09 was sponsorless. I did not think Kenny would race for someone that does not have a true sponsor (or at least nothing on the hood).

The Crewchief said if it was any other driver in the car, he would have 'em in for tires but with you, stay out! A GREAT TESTIMONY FOR KENNY!!! Actually, it was a darn good call.......... it was for track position...and put him in 8th...

Of course, we all know Kenny's luck (not to mention ours)... if Sacks didn't spin his tires in front of Kenny... Kenny had to let up and then he sped his own tires - got pushed to the middle and dropped back to a 25th p!

Kenny would have had at least a top 10 finish if it hadn't been for Sacks!!

That was the plan... Crewchief wanted him to drop back to stay out of the mess... CC wanted him to drop back while the were in the ride-around laps... but he couldn't get out of line... so as soon as he could, he dropped back... They didn't want to get caught up in someone's stupidity... it was all planned.

that how I saw it.

And eventually you have to actually start racing if you want to win......you dont just go round and round anticipating the big one......which never happened btw

I don't think its throwing kenny under the bus as much as the strategy. However if you don't have the car to stay up front I say go to the back and try to avoid the big one. Yes it never happened but as loose as the cars were it could have at any time. It was obvious that the car didn't have the speed to stay up front so I have no problem with the riding around. If sacks didn't spin the tires yes I believe kenny could have stayed pretty close to the 8th spot as the guys who took tires really couldn't go anywhere. Plus why pit for 4 with a gwc when you'd be in the deep 20s and if it not pitting doesn't work you'd be the same spot as pitting so I agree with the no pit. Why not try to steal something better?

Dunno... driver is NOT listed on Jayski as yet... so maybe our Man?!?! Smile

09 TBA TBD 10 Ford Robby Benton

However... I did find this on RAB's Facebook... "Veteran driver Ken Schrader in the 09 at Daytona for the first of four NNS COT races in 2010".

Dunno if that means Kenny is driving the COT or not...
