Waltrip to Mow Lucky Race Fan’s Lawn
Cleveland, OH (February 6, 2006) – YARD-MAN by MTD is teaming up with veteran drivers Michael Waltrip and Kenny Schrader to become a primary sponsor of the Brewco Motorsports No. 66 Ford in the 2006 NASCAR Busch series. YARD-MAN, a leading manufacturer of lawn and garden tractors and walk-behind mowers, will have a primary role in 15 races, including stops at famed tracks such as Daytona, Bristol and Talladega.
“I have always admired Michael and Kenny as racecar drivers,” said Clarence Brewer, Jr., owner of Brewco Motorsports. “I am excited to finally have them as part of our organization. I know they will do a great job both on the track and representing YARD-MAN.”
The No. 66 YARD-MAN Ford makes its debut at Daytona on February 18, with Schrader behind the wheel. Throughout the remainder of the season Waltrip and Schrader will share driving responsibilities.

Beginning in February, race fans can visit yardman.com or sign up at any track playing host to the YARD-MAN garage and enter to win a chance to have Michael Waltrip and the No. 66 YARD-MAN pit crew mow their lawn. The winner, to be chosen in May, will get his or her lawn professionally manicured by Waltrip and a team of lawn care specialists, in addition to receiving a garage full of lawn maintenance equipment. Mowers will also be given to the winner’s closest neighbors.
YARD-MAN Garage: Drive Like A Pro
Back by popular demand, YARD-MAN takes the racing experience off the track and onto the streets with the YARD-MAN Garage. This 44 foot mobile garage packed with fun and games will make stops at select racetracks nationwide. Show Stopping Grass Car Comes to Life
YARD-MAN will take “green car technology” to new heights this season with the one-of-a-kind YARD-MAN grass car. Appearing trackside, the No. 66 Ford
will literally come to life via a fresh grass paint scheme. Fans can put their lawn
care expertise to work and help groom and manicure the specially designed car made of grass and flowers. The one-of-a-kind car will make appearances during several Busch Series races including Las Vegas, Atlanta, Bristol, Nashville, Talladega, Richmond, Darlington, Milwaukee, Gateway, Bristol, Richmond and Memphis.
