More NASCAR Drivers Added to Charity Event to Support

 ‘American Cancer Society Relay for Life’ and ‘Victory Junction Gang Camp’

HOFFMAN ESTATES, IL. – Tickets for the ‘Craftsman For a Cure’ charity event are on sale now and packages are going quickly.

Craftsman Motorsports in conjunction with Bobby Hamilton Racing will host the ‘Craftsman For a Cure’ charity event on Tuesday, May 23 at NASCAR SpeedPark in Concord, N.C. from 5 to 9 p.m. The charity event will support the American Cancer Society Relay for Life and the Victory Junction Gang Camp.

‘Craftsman For a Cure’ will give race fans the opportunity to live their racing dream – to meet and race fender-to-fender with some of their favorite NASCAR drivers while also helping out two very important charities. NASCAR standouts Ryan Newman and Kenny Wallace have joined other drivers already committed to the event.

Fans can buy tickets by calling 866-227-3264 now for one of several unique opportunities to spend time with some of NASCAR’s top drivers. Tickets included:

  • VIP Dinners with select drivers for 20 fans - $75
  • Go-kart race against select drivers - $20-$40
  • Autograph sessions with select drivers - $10

Drivers scheduled to attend include event host Bobby Hamilton, former NASCAR Cup champion and FOX analyst Darrell Waltrip, former champion crew chiefs and FOX analysts Larry McReynolds and Jeff Hammond, NASCAR Nextel Cup standouts Michael Waltrip, Kenny Schrader, Ryan Newman and Kyle Petty, NASCAR Busch driver Kenny Wallace and numerous NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series drivers including Todd Bodine, Ted Musgrave,  Jack Sprague, David Starr, Dennis Setzer, Ron Hornaday and more.

Tickets are limited and will be sold on a first come, first serve basis. The following packages are on sale now. Fans can purchase the ticket packages by calling 866-227-3264. Below are a list of ticket packages:

VIP Package ($75) – Tickets are limited to 20 tickets per dinner. Eat meal from Quaker Steak & Lube, receive a commemorative ‘Craftsman For a Cure’ souvenir T-shirt, Q&A with your favorite driver or crew chief, lots of pictures and autographs. Only 20 fans will be visiting with their favorite driver during this 30 minute private dinner. Driver scheduled dinner times are:

SESSION 1

  • Larry McReynolds/Jeff Hammond – 6-6:30 p.m.
  • Kenny Schrader – 6-6:30 p.m.
  • Michael Waltrip – 6-6:30 p.m. – SOLD OUT

SESSION 2

  • Bobby Hamilton – 7-7:30 p.m.
  • Kyle Petty – 7-7:30 p.m.
  • Darrell Waltrip/David Reutimann – 7-7:30 p.m.

SESSION 3

  • Kenny Wallace – 8-8:30 p.m.
  • Other drivers To Be Announced

 

Road Course Package ($20) – Family 500 Track (45 Tickets Per Session) - *Must be at least 54” tall to drive or at least 50” tall to ride. Fans can try their hand at left and right hand turns on this long and curvy road course against a number of NASCAR drivers.

 

  • Kenny Schrader – 5-5:20 p.m.
  • Bobby Hamilton Racing Drivers (Bobby Hamilton, Jr. and Timothy Peters) – 5:20-5:40 p.m.
  • Larry McReynolds/Jeff Hammond – 5:40-6 p.m.
  • Ron Hornaday/Dennis Setzer – 7-7:20 p.m.
  • Jack Sprague/David Starr – 7:20-7:40 p.m.
  • Todd Bodine/Ted Musgrave – 7:40-8 p.m.

 

Rubbin’s Racin’ Package ($20) – Slidewayz Track (30 Tickets Per Session) - * Must be at least 54” tall to ride. This slick oval is a tough track – even for the best of race car drivers. Try your hand at beating out professionals.

  • Ryan Newman – 6-6:20 p.m.
  • Darrell Waltrip/David Reutimann – 6:20-6:40 p.m.
  • Michael Waltrip – 6:40-7 p.m.

Victory Lane Package ($40) – Mini-Motor Speedway (12 Tickets Per Driver) - * Must be 64” tall and 16-years old and must present a valid driver’s license.  Race some of NASCAR’s top drivers on the premier track at the SpeedPark. The half-mile road course features 5/8 scale Nextel Cup style race cars.

  • Driver To Be Announced – 8-8:20 p.m.
  • Kyle Petty – 8:20-8:40 p.m.
  • Kenny Wallace – 8:40-9 p.m.

Autograph ($10) – (150 Tickets Per Autograph Session). Fans can get autographs from some of their favorite NASCAR drivers. Fans buying a ticket for an autograph will also receive a commemorative poster for the ‘Craftsman for a Cure’ event.

 

  • Ford Racing Drivers – 5:30-6:15 p.m. (Drivers include: Rick Crawford, Erik Darnell, David Green, Danny O’Quinn Jr. and David Ragan)
  • Chevrolet Racing Drivers – 6-6:45 p.m. (Drivers include: Matt Crafton, Kerry Earnhardt, Ron Hornaday, Kraig Kinser and Dennis Setzer)
  • Toyota Racing Drivers – 6:30-7:15 p.m. (Drivers include: Todd Bodine, Ted Musgrave, David Starr and Jack Sprague)
  • Dodge Racing Drivers – 7:30-8:15 p.m. (Drivers include: Bobby Hamilton, Bobby Hamilton Jr., Kevin Hamlin, Timothy Peters, Kyle Petty, Boston Reid and David Stremme)
