Hayes on track position at New Hampshire

“Track position counts at this track. We didn’t have such a good qualifying run last year so our first goal is to come out of the box strong in time trials. We worked on that a little bit when we tested up there last month. These guys on this team are truly dedicated. They’ve been working a lot of hours with little sleep to put a solid piece under me. They deserve a good finish and I wouldn’t want to disappoint them.”

On the point battle

“We definitely took a hit in the point standings after that wreck at Watkins Glen, but I intend to bounce back. It’s still early in the season, and we can put ourselves back up into the top-10 with a good run here this weekend.”
