Ken Schrader will be making his first career start at Kentucky Speedway when he pilots the No. 18 Fastenal Dodge on Saturday night.

The Built Ford Tough 225 will mark Schrader’s 80th NCTS start. In his previous 79 races Schrader has an average starting position of 22nd and finishing of 18th.

Schrader will pilot “Bob Daddy” this weekend at Memphis. Schrader last drove this particular chassis at Dover in June. He completed one-half of a lap before being knocked out of the event.

A Look Back: Bobby Hamilton Sr. won the Built Ford Tough 225 presented by the Greater Cincinnati Ford Dealers in 2004. It was his third of four victories he recorded that season in route to the 2004 NCTS Championship.

Fastenal Summer Interns at Kentucky: The contest winners of the Fastenal Racing Internship program will spend the week at BHR working to prepare the Dodges for this weekend’s events. Jaysen Delpierre, a recent graduate from Des Moines Area Community College, and Kyle Paulson, a recent graduate from Vincennes University, will get their hands dirty this weekend as they each work on the race crews at Kentucky.

Schrader on Kentucky Speedway and his first race at the track: “Kentucky is another track I have never raced at before. Just last week we were talking about how hard it was to find a track I have never raced at and now we have found two in a row. Unlike Memphis, I have tested at Kentucky. I made about 30 laps in a Cup car there about a year or so ago.  I think I will really enjoy racing there. I am just glad I can mark another one of my list. Racing at so many different race tracks is another reason why I enjoy running the truck series.”
