2007 Driver and Sponsor Line-up Coming

into Focus at Wood Brothers/JTG Racing

Harrisburg, NC, October 4, 2007 -  One thing that is constant in the motor sports world, is change.  Wood Brothers/JTG Racing experienced more than their fair share of change during the 2006 season.  New partnerships, new sponsors, new drivers, new series, and new facilities….you name it, the most tenured teams in the NASCAR NEXTEL Cup and Busch Series garages did it.

“The trend in NASCAR is to get bigger or get out,” stated Eddie Wood team co-owner.  “The Wood Brothers have no intention of fading away and the steps taken in 2006 to merge with ST Motorsports to form our new company will pay dividends for our future.  Our goal for 2007 is to continue building on our current systems and developing our people for our future success, and to get our arms around our new 5-team, multi-division format.”

Wood Brothers/JTG Racing will again field one NASCAR NEXTEL Cup team, two Busch Series teams, and two Craftsman Truck teams.  The team also expects to field a second NASCAR NEXTEL Cup car for select Cup races.  Driver and sponsor relationships for 2007 are quickly coming into focus. Ford Racing Technology will again be supporting all divisions with the Ford Fusion in the NASCAR NEXTEL Cup and Busch Series events and the Ford F-150 Truck in the Craftsman Truck Series.

Ken Schrader and Little Debbie Snack Cakes a perfect match.   Little Debbie Snack Cakes will continue to be primary sponsor of the famed #21 NASCAR NEXTEL Cup Ford Fusion for 18 races in 2007 with Ken Schrader in the driver’s seat.  Chris McKee states, “We are very pleased to have Ken Schrader behind the wheel of the Little Debbie Ford Fusion for the 2007 NASCAR NEXTEL Cup series.  Little Debbie fans and NASCAR fans relate well to Ken Schrader and we’re looking forward to a winning season.”

Jon Wood to launch NASCAR NEXTEL Cup Career with the Ore-Ida and Delimex Brands.   Third generation driver Jon Wood will share driving duties with Ken Schrader in the #21 NASCAR NEXTEL Cup ride. Ore-Ida Extra Crispy French Fries and Delimex Delicious Mexican Cuisine are proud to join Wood Brothers/JTG Racing as primary sponsors of the #21 Ford Fusion for a limited schedule as well as being a major associate sponsor for the remainder of the season. Tad Geschickter, team co-owner stated “It’s time for Jon to get started in the Cup Series. He will also compete full time in the NASCAR Busch series in the #47 Clorox®/Armor All®/American Red Cross Ford Fusion. We look forward to getting Jon plenty of seat time by combining this limited Cup schedule with his duties in the #47 Busch car.”

Kingsford® to Back Marcos Ambrose in the NASCAR Busch Series.  Kingsford® Charcoal will celebrate its 10th season as a NASCAR Busch Series Sponsor with Marcos Ambrose behind the wheel of their #59 Kingsford Charcoal Ford Fusion. Ambrose, a former two time Australian V-8 Supercar Champion has performed strongly in his rookie season in the Craftsman Truck Series, his first competitive experience on oval tracks after a storied road racing career in Australia and Europe.

Compton to Contend for a Craftsman Truck Series Championship.  Stacy Compton, who enjoys the longest continuously running relationship with a single team and sponsor in the NASCAR Busch Series, will return to his Craftsman Truck Series roots in 2007.  Compton finished 4th in points, in his last full time Craftsman Truck Series campaign and looks to improve on that with a team backed by NASCAR NEXTEL Cup and Ford Racing Technology expertise.

Expect New Announcements Monthly.  “Expect new announcements on a consistent basis over the coming weeks,” stated team co-owner Len Wood.  “We have several new sponsor announcements still to come, and don’t be surprised to see some new driver development candidates join our team.  We are charging full speed ahead to become competitive on a weekly basis in 2007 and beyond.”
